Our admissions process is designed to help educate prospective families about our school, program levels, and Montessori philosophy.

To be considered for admission

Prospective families must fulfill the following requirements:

Attend a campus tour or Open House. Prospective families are encouraged to visit WMS prior to submitting an application.
Submit a complete application packet (see Application Packet Requirements below) along with a $100 non-refundable application fee per student.
- Apply from Oct. 14 through Nov. 29, 2024, to receive a 50% application fee discount.

2025-2026 school year

Oct. 14, 2024 - Admissions applications open; campus tours begin.

Oct. 17, 2024 - High School Preview Night from 6-7:30 p.m.

Nov. 2, 2024 - Open House at Bothell and Woodinville Campuses from 10 a.m.-noon

Nov. 29, 2024 - Last day for: Early application discount; applications for siblings of currently enrolled students; applications for children of WMS staff
Dec. 1, 2024 - Tuition Assistance applications open
Jan. 16, 2025 - Priority Admissions applications due
Jan. 31, 2025 - Priority Tuition Assistance applications due
Feb. 3 - 28, 2025 - Admissions decisions sent to applicants who apply by the Priority Admissions application due date

Application packet requirements

Toddler (18-36 months)

Toddler applications for the 2024-2025 school year are closed; the wait pool is also closed.

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year open Oct. 14, 2024.

Toddler applicants are 18-29 months old by Sept. 1, 2025.

Checklist Item:

Submit an admissions application

Early Childhood (3-6 years; Preschool & Kindergarten)

Early Childhood applications for the 2024-2025 school year are closed; the wait pool is also closed.

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year open Oct. 14, 2024.

Preschool (PS) applicants are 3-4 years old by Sept. 1, 2025.
Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2025.

All Preschool & Kindergarten applicants must be independently toileting by Sept. 1 of their enrollment year; no diapers or pull-ups are allowed in the classroom.

Submit an admissions application
Send the Teacher Evaluation Form to your student's current teacher (Preschool & Kindergarten applicants only)
- WMS must receive the completed form by the priority admissions deadline and before scheduling the student visit.
- If your child has not yet attended daycare or preschool, you may request this step to be waived by contacting the Admissions department at admissions@woodinvillemontessori.org.
Submit a Progress Report/Report Card (Kindergarten applicants only)
- 2024-2025 (First semester report will be requested in February 2025).
Attend a student visit (Kindergarten applicants only)
- The Admissions department will extend an invitation for your student to visit a classroom on a school day for two hours.

Elementary (Grades 1-6)

1st grade applicants must be 6 years old by Sept. 1, 2025.

Submit Progress Reports/Report Cards
- Reports are needed from the school years of:
  - 2022-2023 (First & second semester; not applicable for 1st grade applicants)
  - 2023-2024 (First & second semester)
  - 2024-2025 (First semester report will be requested in February 2025)
Attend a student visit
- The Admissions department will extend an invitation for your student to visit a classroom on a school day.

Middle School (Grades 7 & 8)

Submit an admissions application
Send the Teacher Evaluation Form to your student's current math and English teachers
- WMS must receive both completed forms by the priority admissions application deadline and before scheduling the student visit.
Submit Progress Reports/Report Cards
- Reports are needed from the school years of:
  - 2022-2023 (First & second semester)
  - 2023-2024 (First & second semester)
  - 2024-2025 (First semester report will be requested in February 2025)
Submit test score(s)
- Applicants must take either the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) or the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Score(s) must be submitted to WMS by the priority admissions application deadline.

Attend a student visit
- After a review of the admissions packet, a decision will be made to either invite the student for a student visit or decline admission.

High School (Grades 9-12)

Submit test score(s)
- Applicants must take either the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) or the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Score(s) must be submitted to WMS by the priority admissions application deadline. Students applying to 11th grade may submit their PSAT or ACT score(s) in lieu of SSAT or ISEE score(s).

Attend a student visit

Application portal

To apply, visit the WMS FACTS Application Portal. The non-refundable application fee is $100 per student. Applications for the 2025-2026 school year open Oct. 14, 2024.

Admissions decisions

WMS will release admissions decision notifications for the 2025-2026 school year via email to applicants who apply by the priority deadline of Jan. 16, 2025, on a rolling basis from Feb. 3-28, 2025.

Families with an applicant in a wait pool will be contacted if a space becomes available.
