Since our inception 36 years ago our generous community has helped Woodinville Montessori School students learn, grow, and become tomorrow's doers, thinkers, creators and leaders. Our donors recognize the connection between an excellent education and philanthropic support. This is why today WMS can offer an excellent academic Montessori program for students 18 months through 18 years, preparing them for college and for life. This is the legacy of those who have come before us. And it is our responsibility to continue this legacy by stewarding the school's resources and building them for the future.
It takes more than tuition to finance a personalized, hands on education. Your philanthropic commitments fill two major financial needs—current operational expenses and capital investments.
OPERATIONAL BUDGET: Expenses necessary to daily operations, such as curricular supplies, facilities maintenance, faculty salaries, staff professional development opportunities and need-based tuition assistance, are funded by an Annual Giving campaign and the well-attended Spring Gala & Auction.
CAPITAL INVESTMENTS: Independent schools initiate capital campaigns to raise funds for one-time improvements and significant additions, and to secure a long-term financial base. Our Campaign for WMS secured funds to purchase the North Creek campus in 2011, and has funded the building of the playground at North Creek, remodel of the Club House spaces and security and safety upgrades in all buildings. In 2017 WMS began planning for Phase II of the Campaign for WMS.
Support comes in many sizes, shapes and forms, but every dollar and gift is critical to our mission and is deeply appreciated.
