Our Upper Elementary students spent three incredible days exploring NatureBridge at Olympic National Park, building independence, friendships, and confidence along the way. 🌲

Students jumped right in, unloading buses, playing whole‑group games, and bonding in trail groups while learning the “Five Finger Agreement”: good attitude, kindness, commitment, stewardship, and respect. They explored old‑growth forests, river ecosystems, and trails, then settled into cabins for games, a delicious dinner, and an exciting presentation all about cougars!

The next day brought sunshine and unforgettable Olympic Peninsula experiences, from canoeing and practicing paddle strokes to learning how glaciers shaped the landscape around them. 🛶 A 1.5‑mile hike to Marymere Falls gave students the chance to observe towering trees, rocks, conduct hands‑on science experiments, and take in the breathtaking scenery. 🥾

Evenings ended with laughter, stories, and s’mores around the campfire. 🔥 An unforgettable trip of adventure, learning, teamwork, and fun!

Experiences beyond the classroom environment are a core part of the Montessori education from Kindergarten through High School. For Elementary, Middle, and High School students, overnight and outdoor trips are an intentional piece of the curriculum, designed to foster independence while supporting social‑emotional growth.
