    Island Night Project Presentations

    Bothell Campus, Green Bldg.
    The entire WMS community is invited to our annual Upper Elementary Island Night! This capstone project showcases the work of our sixth-year students, who have spent the year creating imaginative islands.
    In the Upper Elementary classrooms, students will present in-depth research and essays, posters, models, and information about their islands’ geography, culture and customs, flora and fauna, and how their island communities meet their basic needs. Join us to celebrate and support their hard work!
    The evening event at Brightwater Environmental Education & Community Center will feature student performances, including skits, dances, and songs.
    Wednesday, June 3:
    • In the Upper Elementary Classrooms, 1:15–2:45 p.m.: Sixth-year students will present their islands’ cultures, artifacts, projects and more
    • At Brightwater Environmental Education & Community Center, 6:00–8:00 p.m.: Island Night & Sixth-year Moving Up Ceremony
    Important: Students attending any Island Night event must be supervised by a parent or guardian.

    Family Appreciation Day

    In lieu of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts and cards, children will be acknowledging the adults in their family who provide them love, care and guidance on one day, Family Appreciation DayThis is not a school event unless otherwise communicated by your classroom teacher.

    Location: WMS Bothell Campus - Community Room (check in at Blue Building Front Desk to obtain a door code to the Green Building)

    This year, over 250 volunteers gave their time, energy, and heart to help make WMS shine, and now it's our turn to say thank you. 

    Join us for a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast as we celebrate YOU -- our incredible volunteers! Whether you helped in the classroom, at events, or behind the scenes, your effort, big or small, helped cultivate connection and community across our school this year, and we are grateful. 

    Enjoy delicious food, reconnect with fellow parents, and let us show our heartfelt appreciation for all you do!

    Family Association All-Family Picnic

    Crestwoods Park (1818 6th Street, Kirkland 98033)
    All WMS families, faculty and staff are invited to the All-School Picnic on Friday, June 12 from 5-8 p.m. at Crestwoods Park in Kirkland.

    Drop in for a little or a lot, bring your own picnic, lawn games or sports equipment to this gathering to celebrate the completion of another wonderful school year! 

    Parking is available on the streets as well as in the parking lot at Kirkland Middle School.

    Closing Ceremony & Crossing the Bridge (for Bothell Campus Kindergarten - 12th Grade)

    Bothell Campus - Sportsfields
    For Bothell Campus Kindergarten - 12th graders and their families:

    This event will take place in the morning. Students will return to their classrooms following the ceremony and will be dismissed at their regularly scheduled time. 


    For the safety and smooth flow of the event, all guests must remain in the designated WMS Family & Friends area for the entire duration. We kindly ask that you do not leave this marked space, approach classrooms, or move into student or staff areas at any time.

    To ensure the ceremony runs seamlessly and respects the student experience, please refrain from stepping into walkways, gathering areas, or coned-off areas to take photos or videos. Guests should not interrupt or obstruct students, faculty, or the program for photography.

    We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, organized, and meaningful celebration for everyone!
