Chrissy Wakeling

Chrissy brings over 18 years of experience in education, having served as a teacher, curriculum developer, department chair, and coach across several independent schools throughout the Pacific Northwest. Her work has consistently centered on equity, inclusion, and community building, with a focus on DEI-informed curriculum design and experiential learning. With a strong belief in the transformative power of student-centered education, she is passionate about creating environments where all students feel seen, heard, and empowered. Since her two children joined the WMS family in the fall of 2017 (now in Upper Elementary and Middle School!), she has developed a deep appreciation for the Montessori philosophy and its ability to nurture independent, compassionate, and socially aware learners. She is excited to bring her breadth of experience to the WMS Board in support of the school’s ongoing growth and evolution.
