Woodinville Montessori School is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of alumna Allison Schoening Rataezyk, who attended WMS from kindergarten through sixth grade in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Today, Allison teaches in the Northshore School District, inspiring the next generation of learners while sharing her love of education, literacy, and the outdoors. Recently, she reached an exciting milestone by publishing her first children's book, Perseverant Piper, a story set in Washington's Olympic National Park that encourages perseverance, confidence, and a connection to the natural world.

The book reflects many of the values Allison first encountered at Woodinville Montessori, including curiosity, independence, environmental stewardship, and lifelong learning. Through her work as both an educator and author, she continues to foster these qualities in children throughout our community.

This weekend, Allison will share her love of storytelling with local families during a special story time and author event at the Barnes & Noble in Woodinville on Saturday, September 12, at 1:30 p.m. Members of the WMS community are welcome to stop by and celebrate this exciting milestone with a fellow alum.

We are honored to celebrate Allison's achievement and the ways she continues to inspire young learners through education, storytelling, and a lifelong commitment to learning.
