Desiree Rodi

Trustee
Desiree is passionate about the role emotional intelligence and education play in fostering awareness, authenticity, accountability, and action—helping both children and adults grow into their best selves. She holds a B.A. from Yale University in Studio Art and American Studies, an MBA from Seattle University, and both an M.A. and Ph.D. in Organizational Development and Change from Fielding Graduate University. At Fielding, her research focused on how public elementary school educators experience the implementation of social and emotional learning, with the aim of better supporting teachers. She also holds a Certificate in Evidence-Based Coaching, has her own consulting and coaching practice, and teaches as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Management at Seattle University.

Guided by a deep appreciation for the Montessori philosophy, Desiree values respect for the individual and the unique contributions each person brings to a community. Her family joined WMS in 2019. Outside of her professional life, she is an avid runner, swimmer, baker, and writer, as well as the mom of three children (two at WMS) and a golden doodle.
