WMS Community Workshop | Supporting Your Child's Mental Health
Bothell Campus, Green Bldg. - Community Room
As part of our commitment to parent education and partnership, WMS faculty and staff offer complimentary workshops throughout the school year. These engaging sessions help families better understand Montessori education, support their child's growth and development, and connect with fellow members of the WMS community. We encourage all families to take advantage of these enriching learning opportunities. Please join us after morning carline from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, in the Green Building Community Room for a conversation about supporting children's mental health. The audience for this event is parents of kindergarteners through twelfth graders. All WMS families are invited to attend. This is a parents-only event, and it will not be recorded. Please register to attend here. Workshop presenters are our WMS mental health counselors, Emily Murray, LICSW, and Megan Wanless, MA, LMFT, and Lower Elementary teacher Amy Fujimoto, M.Ed. Megan and Emily will be co-presenting about the critical importance of mental health and will share definitions, warning signs, and resources. Amy will then share an expressive arts activity to show how art can be used to positively support mental health.
