WMS has a tradition of fielding winning orienteering teams that compete in local, regional and national championship meets. The Orienteering Team is open to grades one through 12. The team does not practice, but competes every other Saturday from November to spring in the Washington Interscholastic Orienteering League (WIOL).

For more information about the school league (Washington Interscholastic Orienteering League, WIOL) please visit the Cascade Orienteering Club site.
