On Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 4-5 p.m., WMS will hold it’sfirst in-person Family Workshop since 2020! Read below for information aboutthe workshop and RSVP:

Are mealtimes a challenging part of your day? Do youstruggle with finding the balance between ensuring your children get thenutrition they need and they’re getting enough food? Are you making multiplemeals during dinner every day?

Katie will discuss her approach in supporting familieswith selective and/or picky eaters and help expand their variety of foods whileensuring they meet their daily nutritional needs.

Do you struggle with staying calm and connected duringyour child’s challenging moments? Have you ever wanted to make your child’sbehaviors stop and wonder why your strategies are not working? Are youwondering how to reparent yourself so that you can parent differently than theway you were raised?

Rosanne will discuss the importance of parentalself-regulation and why staying calm and connected during your child’s bigfeelings are vital to the parent-child relationship. She will talk about why itis helpful to be able to tell the difference between your child’s intentionalmisbehavior and a stress response.

Katie is aBoard Certified in Holistic Nutrition and a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She has15 years of experience supporting adults, children and families to achievebetter health by addressing sleep, nutrition & mealtimes, and physicaldevelopment using a holistic and functional medicine approach.

Rosanne Carter is an Infant& Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist with 23 years of experiencesupporting the parent/child dyad, creatingpositive lifelong impacts on the child's social-emotional health. She believesin cultivating relationships through connection and focuses on supportingfamilies in developing the capacity to experience, regulate, and expressemotions and form close and secure interpersonal relationships.

Together, their work with families is deeply rooted inthe exploration of the intersections of trauma, relationships, nutrition, andthe brain-body connection. Children’s Therapy of Woodinville has been servicingfamilies in our area for 30 years, with highly knowledgeable and experiencedtherapists.
