Upper Elementary and Middle School Athletics program

WMS recreational no-cut team sports opportunities for boys and girls continue to grow.

Ultimate Frisbee, offered for grades six through eight, competed in the Fall Seattle League.

This year, fourth-through-ninth graders are participating in the Northshore YMCA League for co-ed volleyball in the spring, as they did in the fall.

Co-ed soccer for fourth-through-ninth grades practices in the fall, and will play with the YMCA this spring. We offer basketball in the winter.

WMS has a tradition of fielding winning orienteering teams that compete in local, regional and national championship meets. The Orienteering Team is open to grades one through 12. The team does not practice, but competes every other Saturday in the Washington Interscholastic Orienteering League (WIOL).

We also offer an orienteering after-school elective for first-through-sixth-graders.

For more information about orienteering at WMS, please contact Secondary Orienteering Coach Marissa Roecks.
