Nichol Schaffer, Teacher, Fig Class
North Creek – Toddler
Nichol has been guiding toddlers for the last 2 years and led 3- to 6-year-olds in Montessori classrooms for 10 years, joining WMS in 2004. She is certified in Montessori through MEIPN, for Early Childhood and Infant & Toddler classrooms. Nichol has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Seattle University. Finding the best possible education for her son was what motivated her to find out about Montessori. Witnessing daily the curiosity and pure joy in learning exhibited by the young child is what keeps her energized. Nichol has two children, ages 14 and 4. She enjoys sketching, reading and organizing.
Michelle Hayden, Assistant, Fig Class
North Creek - Toddler
Michelle has taken early childhood development classes and has worked with children most of her life. She has been married for 25 years and has 3 children of her own, ages 24, 21 and 11 years old. Michelle lives in Mukilteo and loves to spend time with her family and with her dogs.
Cheng Wei, Teacher, Fig Class
North Creek – Toddler
Cheng Wei has over ten years of experience as a childcare provider and five years of experience in children’s education. She enjoys vegetarian cooking, hot yoga, whale watching, hiking, camping, kayaking and snowboarding. She has played the piano for 21 years and the bass guitar for 14 years. Cheng Wei volunteers at the Children’s Hospital, Seattle Humane Society, Washington State Health Department and has done peer tutoring.
