ABOUT THE VOLUNTEER COORDINATION COMMITTEE
The goal of the Volunteer coordination committee is to help connect and coordinate parents with volunteer opportunities available at the school and through the various Family Alliance committees.
The Volunteer Coordination Committee serves as the liaison between parent volunteers and the Family Alliance, and facilitates a variety of volunteer tasks throughout the year. The responsibilities of the committee include: distributing data from the Parent Participation Forms (PPF) for use by each of the Family Alliance committees, connecting parent volunteers with FA committees, establishing a “Family Alliance lifeline” to support WMS families, teachers, and staff in crisis and helping recruit for open Family Alliance positions.
If you are interested in helping coordinate or track volunteers, being a room parent or parent ambassador, then the Volunteer Coordination Committee is the place for you. Volunteer opportunities occur throughout the year and start at one hour per month or more, depending on your availability and interests.
