ABOUT THE SOCIAL COMMITTEE
The goal of the Social Committee is to build a sense of community and community involvement through fun social activities for our students and their families.
The social committee is responsible for at least one all-school social event and the end-of-year all-school picnic. The all-school picnic, usually held at Cottage Lake Park in Woodinville, is important because it brings students and families together outside the school environment. The picnics are potluck affairs. All-school social events provide a great forum for bringing together our school community. Past events include cookie decorating parties, a Fall festival, and an ice cream social that coincided with the school’s Art Walk event.
If you appreciate the wonderful community that is WMS and enjoy creating fun social events, then the Social Committee is the place for you. Volunteer opportunities occur throughout the year and start at one hour per month or more, depending on your availability and interests.
