ABOUT THE AUCTION COMMITTEE
The goal of the Auction Committee is to host the school’s annual fundraising event – generally an auction – to raise money for enrichment materials in the classroom, special field trip and classroom opportunities, teacher and staff training, and any of a myriad of special projects that directly benefit the students of Woodinville Montessori School.
Every year, traditionally in the spring, the WMS Auction Committee hosts a dinner and auction.
The primary goal of the auction is to raise money for enrichment: professional development of staff, special school programs and performances, curriculum development, equipment and any of a myriad of special enrichment projects that directly benefit the students of Woodinville Montessori. The event also serves as a social affair for WMS parents and alumni, teachers, and staff.
Roles and responsibilities for the auction are divided into three areas: Event Planning, Procurement and Auction Administration. Two volunteer Auction Co-Chairs are responsible for the Event Planning Subcommittee, one Chair is responsible for the Procurement Subcommittee, and Auction Administration consists of coordinators who work in tandem.
If you are interested in helping with the schools main fundraising event then the Auction Committee is the place for you. Volunteer opportunities occur throughout the year and start at one hour per month or more, depending on your availability and interests.
