For the 2017-2018 school year, WMS again offers recreational no-cut sports for boys and girls. This year fourth-through-eighth graders may play. We will again participate in the Northshore YMCA League for volleyball and for spring soccer.
In our first year we played girls’ volleyball and coed soccer in the fall, girls’ and boys’ basketball in the winter and coed volleyball and coed soccer in the spring.

UPDATED ON JAN. 25, 2018:

The WMS Middle School Orienteering Team took second place in the intermediate classification in the 2017 US Interscholastic and Intercollegiate Orienteering Championships in Sulphur Springs, Texas, during March 4-5. In addition, WMS students took second and third places as individual competitors. Two of our alums and a WMS parent also competed.

WMS has a tradition of fielding winning orienteering teams that compete in local, regional and national championship meets. The Orienteering Team is open to elementary, middle and high school students. The team competes every other Saturday in the Washington Interscholastic Orienteering League (WIOL).
WMS also typically offers orienteering as an after-school elective open to first-graders and up, in addition to the team.

For more information about orienteering at WMS, please contact Secondary Orienteering Coach Marissa Roecks.
