Upper Elementary and Middle School Athletics program
For the 2017-2018 school year, WMS again offers recreational no-cut sports for boys and girls. This year, fourth-through-eighth graders are participating in the Northshore YMCA League for volleyball, basketball and spring soccer. In addition we are offering ultimate frisbee this spring.
In our first year we played girls’ volleyball and coed soccer in the fall, girls’ and boys’ basketball in the winter and coed volleyball and coed soccer in the spring.

WMS has a tradition of fielding winning orienteering teams that compete in local, regional and national championship meets. The Orienteering Team is open to elementary, middle and high school students. The team competes every other Saturday in the Washington Interscholastic Orienteering League (WIOL).
WMS also typically offers orienteering as an after-school elective open to first-graders and up, in addition to the team.
