As an independent nonprofit school, WMS depends on the generosity of those who embrace our mission and values. Your gifts support all of the ways WMS helps students do what they love.
The WMS Fund is the most important source of revenue, after student tuition. It is a vital part of the annual operating budget and allows the school to keep tuition from rising faster.
Spring Gala is an evening of fun celebrating our school. Guests bid on exciting items and raise the paddle for a need identified by teachers and staff as most worthy of direct support.
Introducing the Maria Montessori Society
Families who reach $5,000 in combined giving (during the fiscal year from July 1-June 30) from the WMS Fund and Spring Gala each year are designated as members of the Maria Montessori Society. (Corporate matching gifts, while very much appreciated, do not count toward reaching this level.)

When WMS purchased its North Creek campus in 2011, it embarked on a detailed process of creating a master plan to guide the school over the ensuing 10-20 years. From 2012–2015, over 100 generous donors participated in Phase I, called the Campaign for WMS. This campaign funded the popular playground at North Creek, remodel of Early Childhood and Elementary Club House spaces, additional Secondary classrooms and bringing parts of the North Creek campus up to code.
WMS will begin planning for Phase II in 2017.

VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME
To find out how you can volunteer to help (there are plenty of jobs, big and small), please visit our MyVolunteerPage.
This is also where you will record your family's volunteer hours. We ask each family to contribute 20 hours of volunteer time per year, and are proud of the ways in which our families get involved, from preparing mailings to pulling weeds and providing graphic design work.
The Family Alliance also uses the Parent Participation Form (PPF) to match volunteer interests with available volunteer opportunities, so committee chairs may contact you for your expertise. Thank you for completing the PPF as part of the online enrollment/re-enrollment process.
In order to be able to volunteer in the classroom or in any capacity working directly with the students, you must attend a volunteer training class and pass a background check.
