Children have the option to select any of these activities, which not only teach them about sequencing, order, and skillful use of utensils, but offer children the opportunities to taste a variety of foods and eat more often if needed. Examples of such Food Preparation activities include, but are not limited to: peeling and slicing bananas, carrots or apples; spreading cream cheese, soy butter or hummus on crackers; squeezing orange juice, making herbal tea, stuffing celery, slicing pickles or eggs and baking.
